So apparently rats live in my brother's friend's engine block. It's... kind of weird.

ALSO sorry for yesterday. It was mostly due to the fact that among the seventy-two hours of the long weekend, i was in my house for maybe fifteen of them, and slept for approximately six of them.

Old idea, but not filler because it's been redrawn, colored, and scanned. Colored pencil doesn't look too bad. I kind of like it, although i needed to fiddle with the levels because it was too faded in the scan.

I spent like three hours on what turned out to be an only mildly funny gag, and then hit a snag. So fuckit, i'm giving up for tonight. This is the staff photo for the first MQ of the 2007-2008 cycle. Anybody who came in and worked on production that week before school started got drawn into the picture. Some depictions are less accurate than others. For example: Mohammed does not, to my knowledge, wear fez's around on a regular basis.

Going clockwise, starting in the top left: Mohammed, Andrew, Brenden, Dana, Me (sitting), Nicole T., Tim, Drew, Ryan, Jordan, Naomi, Kim, Nicole C. (sitting).

I feel a little dirty...

...but honestly, has anyone else seen these adds for McDonald's new "southern fried chicken"? They consist entirely of either black people talking about how much they love fried chicken or white people enjoying fried chicken and then acting black. Does nobody else see something wrong with this?

So that was a merry week of sleeping on couches and floors and the charity of friends. Anyways, back in the bay area, still unemployed and now not even anybody to talk to, so it looks like comics are back. Yay? I guess?

A Form Letter

It waxes a little overwrought and pretentious, but i think i'm allowed, just this once.

I recognize that all the photo sources are fairly repetitive - keep in mind that i only had a camera for a little while, between christmas and about a month ago when i got sand in the mechanisms. Also, i had the epiphany that i didn't ask anyone for their consent to be in this, and seeing as upsetting people is just about the last thing i want to do with this post (and because with Photoshop layers it's not difficult to do) i'll remove any pictures of people if asked, but deng man, i spent like seven hours getting all of these right, so, like, unless stalkers are in your top three fears, could you just try and live with it?
